STORY LINES- Georgia Southern and Western Carolina play their final SoCon series this weekend when the Catamounts visit Statesboro for three games.
- The Eagles lead the all-time series 18-10 and hold a 9-3 advantage at Eagle Field. GS has won six-straight games at the friendly confines versus WCU.
- Last season, GS saw its 11-game win streak against the Catamounts come to an end as WCU won the series with a 7-2 and 5-2 win to close the set.
- Georgia Southern Head Coach
Annie Smith is on her way to becoming the fastest coach in Georgia Southern history to 100 wins. She enters the WCU series with a 96-61 career record.
- The Eagles are off to their best start in program history, setting new or matching records for 10 games (7-3) 20 games (15-5), 25 games (18-7) and 30 games (20-10).
- Saturday's doubleheader is Breast Cancer Appreciation Day with the team set to wear special pink jerseys. Those shirts will be available for purchase. There will also be a 50/50 raffle to benefit the Statesboro/Bulloch County Breast Cancer Society.
- For Sunday's finale, the first 50 fans at Eagle Field will receive free popcorn.
