STATESBORO, GA.- Georgia Southern men's tennis welcomes two new members to the team for the 2014-15 season. Jose Eduardo Landin Lopez is coming to Statesboro from Mexico, and Pradeep Raja from Johns Creek, Ga. Both student-athletes will be strong assets to Georgia Southern's tennis program.
Jose Eduardo Landin Lopez, or Eduardo, has been training in Canada and has been nationally ranked in the top 40 in the 18s division. Eduardo signed a grant in aid to begin with the Eagles in the fall of 2014.
"Eduardo is a very steady player with a great work ethic," said head coach Nick Zieziula. "He has had some strong results in men's open tournaments as well. We are looking forward to him joining the program."
Pradeep Raja is currently ranked 26th in Georgia for the 2014 class (tennisrecruiting.net). Pradeep has committed to joining the Eagles in the fall of 2014.
"Pradeep has really made a big commitment to improving his game over the last year and he is starting to get some solid results, said head coach Nick Zieziula. "The attitude and work ethic on court along with outstanding performance in the classroom will make Pradeep a great addition to the squad."
