STATESBORO, GA.- Georgia Southern women's tennis hits the courts at the Wallis Tennis Center this weekend against Western Carolina and Appalachian State. Both matches are scheduled to start at 12pm on Saturday, March 15th and Sunday, March 16th.
GSU enters competition this weekend with an overall record of 4-8, and a SoCon record of 0-4. The Western Carolina Catamounts hold a 0-7-1 overall record, and are 0-2 in conference play. Appalachian State's Lady Mountaineers are 4-8 overall, and 0-1 in SoCon competition (Opponent records are as of 3/12/14).
Last time out, the Eagles fell 0-7 to Samford in Birmingham, AL. Seniors
Paola Garrido and
Caitlin Kitchen were defeated in singles play. At No. 3 singles,
Stephanie Woods was also overcome. The Eagles were swept in doubles competition. Samford remains undefeated in the SoCon.
