GREENVILLE, S.C.- Georgia Southern men's tennis was defeated by the Furman Paladins on Saturday afternoon, 5-2. The Eagles' record drops to 1-9. The Paladins are now 6-4 on the season.
In the #1 spot in singles,
Oliver Webb defeated FU's Matt Browne in a deciding set 6-4, 7-6, (7-5). At #2
Albert Codina Sala fell to Adam Steryous 6-2, 6-2. Junior
Kyle Hoffman tallied GSU's second win, beating Alex Christ 7-6, 6-3.
Marco Osorio,
Rafael Racy, and
Christian Kerrigan played tough matches but were winless.
In doubles play,
Oliver Webb and
Christian Kerrigan scored a win against Alex Christ and Ben Horst 8-5.
Kyle Hoffman and
Rafael Racy fell to Joel Cook and Matt Browne, while
Marco Osorio and
Nico DeGroof were defeated by Adam Steryous and Jacob Behal.
