Beck Invited to Big League Spring Training

STATESBORO, Ga. - Former Eagle pitcher Chris Beck has been invited to major league spring training.
Beck, a second round draft pick in 2012, will join the Chicago White Sox in Glendale, Arizona as a non-roster invitee.
Beck will report on Saturday, Feb. 15, and the spring training slate of games begin on Friday, Feb. 28 against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Beck spent three seasons with the Eagles before beginning his minor league career with the Great Falls Voyagers in 2012. In his second season in the minors, he reached double-A and made five starts for the Birmingham Barons. Beck went 2-2 with a 2.89 ERA with the Barons. He holds a 13-10 record and a 3.07 ERA in 26 career start in the minor leagues.
