STATESBORO, GA. – Georgia Southern Men's Soccer closes the 2014 regular season on Saturday night with a 7 p.m. contest against in-state rival Georgia State. The Eagles, first place in the Sun Belt Conference need just a draw to solidify the program's first regular season league championship and the University's first Sun Belt Championship. Georgia Southern hosts the 2014 Sun Belt Championship which starts on November 13th at Eagle Field.

NJIT WIN MOVES EAGLES BACK TO THE TOPGeorgia Southern cashed in its "game in hand" over Hartwick with a 1-0 win over New Jersey Institute of Technology last Saturday.
Eric Dinka scored the game-winning goal in the 80th minute. The Eagles hold a two-point lead over Hartwick and a three-point lead over NJIT and Georgia State.

SUN BELT TOURNAMENT COMING SOON TO STATESBOROAlong with joining a new conference, Georgia Southern Men's Soccer will have another first in November of 2014 when the Eagles host the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. It will be the first time that the Eagles have hosted a postseason men's soccer tournament at Eagle Field.

Jack Falle was named Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season on October 28th. Falle picked up a win over App State and was also named Defensive POTW on September 2nd.

Jack Falle enters the weekend as the No. 4 ranked goalkeeper in terms of saves per game with 6.14 saves per game. He is also eighth nationally in total saves with 86 this season.
CRAZY FINISHGeorgia Southern was part of one of the craziest finishes in NCAA soccer history on Tuesday when the Eagles and Tar Heels combined for four goals in 83 seconds in the 85th and 86th minutes of the match.
Adam Abdellaoui scored twice for the Eagles in the 6-2 loss to UNC which snapped a five-match shutout streak for the No. 6 ranked Tar Heels.
EAGLE OFFENSE GETS THE GOALSOffensively the Eagles are ranked 29th nationally and tops in the Sun Belt with 1.79 goals per game.
