Georgia Southern returns to action at Georgia Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Lady Bulldogs are ranked No. 22 in the Associated Press Poll and receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
The Eagles are 0-14 against ranked opponents since the 2000-01 season.
The Eagles return eight letterwinners and three starters from last season's squad. Three of the top-5 scorers and rebounders are back for Georgia Southern.
Senior Anna Claire Knight was named to the Preseason All-Sun Belt Team in the coaches poll, and the Eagles were picked to finish 10th.
Knight and junior Briana Jones were named Preseason All-Sun Belt by College Sports Madness.
Knight has 1,044 career points, 432 rebounds and 142 assists. No player in program history has recorded over 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 200 assists for their career.
Georgia Southern is coming off a 71-52 home loss to Kennesaw State last Saturday.
Georgia enters the game with a perfect 4-0 record and is coming off a 64-57 road win at Georgia Tech Sunday.
The Lady Bulldogs return four starters and 10 letterwinners from last season's 20-12 squad.
Georgia was picked fifth in the SEC in the Preseason Coaches Poll and sixth in the media poll.
The Lady Bulldogs are in a stretch where they play three games in four days with the last two coming at home.
Georgia was unranked in the Preseason Polls for just the second time since 1981-82, but the Lady Bulldogs' hot start has put them back in the AP top-25 poll.
The Lady Bulldogs went on a 10-day tour of Italy and played three exhibition games prior to the season.

Series History

Georgia leads the all-time series, which began in 1975, 22-9, and the Lady Bulldogs have won the last 19 meetings.
All nine Eagle victories came from 1975-81, and the last was an 82-70 win in Statesboro Feb. 4, 1981.
The teams last met in November of 2011 with Georgia taking a 68-49 win in Hanner Fieldhouse.
The 12th-ranked Lady Bulldogs scored 40 points in the paint and 31 points off turnovers.
Georgia was led by Jasmine Hassell's 17 points, while Khaalidah Miller and Jasmine James added 16 points each.
MiMi DuBose led Georgia Southern with 14 points.
