- Georgia Southern returns to action at Georgia Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Lady Bulldogs are ranked No. 22 in the Associated Press Poll and receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
- The Eagles are 0-14 against ranked opponents since the 2000-01 season.
- The Eagles return eight letterwinners and three starters from last season's squad. Three of the top-5 scorers and rebounders are back for Georgia Southern.
- Senior Anna Claire Knight was named to the Preseason All-Sun Belt Team in the coaches poll, and the Eagles were picked to finish 10th.
- Knight and junior Briana Jones were named Preseason All-Sun Belt by College Sports Madness.
- Knight has 1,044 career points, 432 rebounds and 142 assists. No player in program history has recorded over 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 200 assists for their career.
- Georgia Southern is coming off a 71-52 home loss to Kennesaw State last Saturday.
- Georgia enters the game with a perfect 4-0 record and is coming off a 64-57 road win at Georgia Tech Sunday.

- Georgia was picked fifth in the SEC in the Preseason Coaches Poll and sixth in the media poll.
- The Lady Bulldogs are in a stretch where they play three games in four days with the last two coming at home.
- Georgia was unranked in the Preseason Polls for just the second time since 1981-82, but the Lady Bulldogs' hot start has put them back in the AP top-25 poll.

- Georgia leads the all-time series, which began in 1975, 22-9, and the Lady Bulldogs have won the last 19 meetings.
- All nine Eagle victories came from 1975-81, and the last was an 82-70 win in Statesboro Feb. 4, 1981.
- The teams last met in November of 2011 with Georgia taking a 68-49 win in Hanner Fieldhouse.
