Wolfes Named Sun Belt Golfer of the Month

NEW ORLEANS - Georgia Southern's Scott Wolfes has been named the Sun Belt Conference Golfer of the Month for September, the league announced today.
Wolfes tied for third at the Invitational at the Ocean Course Sept. 12-14, after carding a 69-68-74-211 (-5). It was the 11th top-5 finish of his career. The senior shot 69-72-76=217 (+1) to tie for 10th in the Shoal Creek Invitational Sept. 29-30, the 17th top-10 outing of his career. The Shoal Creek field featured five teams in the top-50 of the 2013-14 final rankings, including two-time defending national champion Alabama.
Wolfes leads the team with a 71.33 scoring average and has shot par or better in four of his six rounds this season. He has finished in the top-20 in 25 of his 37 collegiate starts.
The Eagles are back in action at NC State's Wolfpack Intercollegiate Oct. 6-7 at Lonnie Poole Golf Course.
