Baseball to Host Camps Saturday, Monday

STATESBORO, Ga. - Looking to get in some preseason instruction before the start of your upcoming baseball season?
Georgia Southern has two baseball camps planned to provide expert-level instruction to nearly all age ranges.
GSU will host the Georgia Southern Baseball Prospect Camp on Saturday, Jan. 18 at J.I. Clements Stadium. The camp is open to 2014-2017 high school graduates and will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The prospect camp features instruction and a showcase/pro-style workout. College coaches from D1, D2, NAIA and JUCO along with professional scouts will teach the skills necessary to reach the collegiate playing level. This camp is designed for the player who is serious about taking his game to the next level.
The second camp GSU will be hosting is the 2014 Georgia Southern Winter Youth Camp on Monday, Jan. 20. This camp is open to grades K-8 and runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The youth camp features quality instruction by the baseball coaching staff and players will have the opportunity to expand their baseball skills and benefit from a unique, competitive and challenging atmosphere.
All campers will need to bring all necessary baseball equipment such as: bat, glove, cleats, tennis shoes, catchers gear (if needed), etc.
