On a short turnaround, the Eagles head to the Shoal Creek Intercollegiate in Birmingham, Ala., Monday and Tuesday. Georgia Southern made one change to its 5-man lineup, inserting Christian Humber, and freshman Sam Towler will see his first collegiate action as an individual in the tournament.
The Eagles are coming off a fourth-place finish behind Houston, Michigan State and Yale at the Fighting Irish Gridiron Classic last week. Georgia Southern has placed in the top-5 in four of last six tournaments played during the fall season, dating back to last year.
Player Spotlight
Central Florida – Greg Eason shot 5-under at the Adams Cup of Newport and has led the Knights to two tournament wins in their first two events this season.
Florida – J.D. Tomlinson tied for 29th at the Olympia Fields Invitational. He averaged 73.94 in 35 rounds in the 2012-13 season.
Missouri – Emilio Cuartero is tied for 11th in the nation in scoring average at 69 strokes a round. He finished third at the Turning Stone Intercollegiate and first at the Columbia Regional Preview.
Georgia Southern – Will Evans tied for second at the Fighting Irish Gridiron Classic with the best 3-round score of his career, a 4-under-par 209.
North Florida – MJ Maguire averaged a 73 and tied for 23rd at the Carpet Capital Collegiate in the Ospreys' first tournament this season.
UAB – Sam Love is fifth in the country in scoring average at 68 strokes a round. The senior finished third at the Toby Cup. Classmate Wilson McDonald is tied for 11th at 69 strokes a round.

The Eagles have a couple weeks off before traveling down the road to the AutoTrader Collegiate Classic, hosted by Georgia State, Oct. 14-15.
