MACON, Ga. – The Georgia Southern women's soccer team hits the road again, this time for Mercer University on Sunday, September 22 to challenge the Bears.
Currently the Mercer women's soccer team's overall record is 4-3-1. Most recently, the Bears defeated Jacksonville State University 4-0 on their home field. Standouts for the Bears include senior Casey Barrett, junior Tess Patton, sophomore Maggie Cropp, and freshman Katelyn Dimopoulos.
The Eagles' record so far is 1-4-1. Last time out, they defeated Stetson on their home field 2-1, suffered a loss to Jacksonville 1-2, and tied with Charleston Southern 0-0. Some outstanding players to watch for are senior

Brian Dunleavy is ready to rise to the challenge. "Mercer has been very good this year. They've gotten some big wins against quality opposition while scoring a lot of goals. They've got a high powered offense that seems to be really clicking. We are looking to rise to the challenge of getting a big win on the road."
