STATESBORO, Ga. - "By the Numbers" will spotlight a Georgia Southern Athletics team each week with statistics, rankings and other interesting items of note during our Eagles' seasons. Cross Country is the featured team this week.

1:  The Eagle Cross Country team has one set of freshman twins, Rebecca and Rachel Greenwell.

3: Junior Sara Curry owns three of Georgia Southern's top-10 best times for the 5K race.

3: Three women have 5K times in the 18-minute range: Rebecca Greenwall (18.38), Rachel Greenwall (18:41) and Sara Curry (18:49).

6: Six Eagles set personal records at the Royal Cross Country Challenge meet last weekend in Charlotte, N.C.

10: Number of days until the Eagles compete in the Southern Conference Championship in Charleston, S.C.

70: Since reporting to campus in August, the Eagles have logged more than 70 practices.

225: The Eagle Cross Country team has gone through 225 gallons of Powerade this season.

1578: Cross Country will travel 1,578 miles for its five meets this season.

The College of Charleston plays host to the 2011 SoCon Cross Country Championship on Saturday, October 29th. The race begins at 9 a.m. and takes place at the Trophy Lakes Course.
