Men's Tennis Falls at UNCG

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Georgia Southern Men's Tennis took the lead early in the match by clinching the doubles point but fell in all six singles matches against UNC Greensboro in Greensboro, N.C. on Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles (8-7, 4-3 SoCon) came out on top at the No. 2 and 3 doubles positions for their lone point of the day. Senior Alex Doherty and sophomore Kyle Hoffman took the first victory, defeating Cameron Smith and Gaston Murray on court three. Sophomore-freshman duo Andrew Dromsky and Rayane Djouad were able to clinch the point thanks to a 8-5 victory at the No. 2.

The Spartans (12-2, 5-2 SoCon) followed with victories at all six singles positions. Both Djouad and sophomore Albert Codina Sala took their opponents into three-setters but fell after the overall match had already been decided. 

The Eagles return to action tomorrow (Sunday) at the Southern Conference's top team Elon. Match is slated to start at 1 p.m.
