STORY LINES
Georgia Southern (6-6, 0-0 SoCon) is looking to bounce back from a mid-week loss when opens Southern Conferene play against Wofford (7-6, 0-0). The three-game set gets underway at 6 p.m. on Friday and concludes with a 2:30 p.m. first pitch on Saturday and 1:30 p.m. first pitch on Sunday.
The Eagles hold a 31-15 advantage in the 46 game all-time series with the Terriers and are 15-7 all-time in J.I. Clements Stadium.
Georgia Southern finished sixth in the conference after going 15-15 in SoCon play a year ago. The Eagles also advanced to the SoCon Tournament Championship game.
Friday night will be golf appreciation day, Saturday will be family weekend and Sunday is athletic training appreciation day.

Georgia Southern’s men’s and women’s basketball teams open Southern Conference Tournament play at 11:30 a.m. Friday.
T.D. Davis and Ben Morgan have combined for six of the team’s nine home runs.
Scooter Williams ranks third in the country in hit by pitches and the team stands at 28th in Division I after being hit by 19 pitches in 12 games.
Georgia Southern has two players from the state of South Carolina. Junior OF Robbie Dodds hails from Mount Pleasant, S.C. and played JUCO ball in Spartanburg at Spartanburg Methodist. Sophomore OF Zac Lenns is from Hilton Head, S.C.

MID-WEEK RECAP
Kennesaw State shut out Georgia Southern in a 5-0 mid-week win at Stillwell Stadium.
Steve Janas tossed a season-high five scoreless innings and held the Eagles to two hits for his first win of the season.
Pitching in relief of starter Josh Stevenson, Drew Johnson blanked the Owls for a career-best 4.2 innings and recorded three strikeouts. The pitching staff held Kennesaw State scoreless for five innings before the Owls scored a single run in the eighth inning.
Georgia Southern recorded six hits, and T.D. Davis finished with a hit and a walk.
QUICK HITS
The Eagles have recorded at least one extra base hit in every game this season.
Reliever Drew Johnson is 0-0 with a 1.08 ERA over his last three appearances. Johnson has allowed just one hit and one run over his 8.1 innings pitched.
