Volleyball Announces Spring Schedule

STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern volleyball coach Chad Callihan announced the Eagles' spring schedule today.

Georgia Southern will play four matches at each of their first two stops – at Central Florida March 23 and at South Carolina March 30. The Eagles return home to meet Armstrong Atlantic April 6 and Georgia April 13. The spring season culminates with an Alumni Game April 20, at 2 p.m.

"The spring is an excellent time for our group to develop some team chemistry and see some leadership qualities emerge from some of the new faces on the court," said Callihan. "They have been training for a while, and they enjoy the opportunity to see some new faces on the other side of the net. It allows our group the chance to test some of the individual skills they have been working on, and it allows the team to see different styles of play that we may not be accustomed to in our own gym."

The Eagles return 10 letterwinners and three starters from the 2012 team that won the Southern Conference regular-season championship with a 15-1 mark and went 25-7 overall.
