ATLANTA, Ga.- Georgia Southern men's tennis players Oliver Webb, Albert Codina Sala, Marco Osorio, and Rafael Racy are participating in the ITA Southeast Regional this weekend at Georgia Tech. Webb and Racy are partnering up for doubles play, as well as Codina Sala and Osorio.
At this time, there are 17 schools with players in the main draw or qualifying draw - Bethune-Cookman, Central Florida, Florida, Florida A&M, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, Kennesaw State, Mercer, Miami, North Florida, South Florida and Stetson. Scoring for the tournament will be 8-game pro-set for doubles, with a tiebreaker at 7-all, and best 2-of-3 sets in singles play.
"This is all the best from our region, so there are no easy matches," Head Coach Nick Zieziula said. "It is an honor to have 4 players in the main draw- we need to take advantage of that and see if we can put some good runs together. We've changed up our doubles teams a little bit for this weekend so we've spent some time trying to make those adjustments and get comfortable. We are also coming off of a lot of matches last weekend, so this week was primarily focused on recovering from those matches and trying to learn from those matches."
