Eagles Finish Up Regular Season with Weekend Trip

STATESBORO, Ga. -- The Eagles Swimming and Diving squad will conclude their regular season schedule with back to back meets this weekend in Boiling Springs, N.C. and Davidson, N.C. The Eagles will face Gardner-Webb in a traditional dual meet on Friday at 5 p.m. then immediately head over to Davidson to compete against several strong conference opponents starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
"This weekend will be our final tune-up for the CCSA Championships. It will be challenging to travel two consecutive days and we certainly expect both meets to be very intense,” said Head Coach Nathan Kellogg.
On Sunday, the Eagles will get a good preview of what the Championships might have in store for them as they compete at Davidson College along with Liberty University, Howard University, North Carolina A&T, and Radford University.
Last time out, the Eagles (6-3) swam a close race at the University of Florida but were not able to come out on top, falling 142-101. The Eagles won five out of the 13 events.
After this weekend, the Eagles have almost three weeks to prepare for the CCSA Championships on Feb. 21-23.
