Hayley Johnson Receives Phi Eta Sigma Scholarship

Statesboro, Ga. - Georgia Southern swimmer Hayley Johnson (Watkinsville, Ga.) received a $6,000 scholarship from Phi Eta Sigma. Phi Eta Sigma is an honor society that is part of the First-Year Experience at Georgia Southern, which is designed to ease the transition into the University for freshmen.
The criteria for invitation to membership of Phi Eta Sigma, is a 3.6 GPA for first-year students enrolled full time. Students are selected by: Academic Plans for continued study, Phi Eta Sigma participation, Evidence of Creative Ability, Academic recognition, Participation in on/off-campus service and leadership groups, and work experience.
Hayley Johnson is a sophomore on the GSU Swimming & Diving team, majoring in public relations.
