¦ Georgia Southern returns to action after a 13-day layoff to face Georgia State Friday in the Panthers' Thanksgiving Tournament.
¦ The Eagles will take on either Florida A&M or Kent State in the second contest of the Tournament Saturday.
¦ Video of all games will be available on Panthers Insider at GeorgiaStateSports.com, but only the game against Georgia State will include audio play-by-play.
¦ Georgia Southern returned 11 letterwinners and three starter's from last season's 8-22 squad.

¦ The Eagles lead the all-time series 22-13, but the teams have not played since the 1998-99 campaign, a 79-64 Panther victory.
¦ Georgia Southern leads the all-time series against Florida A&M 16-9 and won the last meeting in the 1992-93 season, 82-67.
¦ Georgia Southern and Kent State have met just once in women's basketball, a 110-101 Eagle victory in the 1991-92 campaign.

¦ Chenise Miller and Latavia Dempsey each scored 16 points, and Florida Atlantic shot 64 percent in the second half to pull away and post a 75-55 women's basketball victory over Georgia Southern Nov. 9 in Hanner Fieldhouse.
¦ MiMi DuBose led Georgia Southern with 17 points, and Anna Claire Knight scored eight. Meredith Frye tallied seven points, three boards and two assists, and Aishya Wofford collected six points and six rebounds.
¦ A 3-pointer by Georgia Southern's Kiki Rawls trimmed an early 11-point, second-half deficit to 54-50 with 8:07 left in the contest, but Florida Atlantic answered with a decisive 19-2 run over the next 6:30 to pull away. Dempsey scored nine points during the stretch, and the Eagles committed three turnovers and went 1-for-10 from the floor.
