Swimming & Diving Travels to North Florida Saturday

STATESBORO, Ga. - After a successful home tri-meet last weekend, the Georgia Southern Swimming & Diving team travels to CCSA member North Florida for a 1 p.m. meet at the UNF Aquatics Center on Saturday.
Georgia Southern (5-2) won its third-straight decision against Gardner-Webb and Darton on Sunday. The Eagles defeated the Bulldogs 150-110 and the Cavaliers 195-65 at the RAC. Behind Amber Juncker's (Bogart, Ga.) first-place finishes in the 1000 Free, 500 Free and 150 Fly, GSU won 10 of the 14 events. The Eagles also swept two events, claiming the top three places in the 1000 Free and 100 Free.
Rikki Babuka (Richmond, Ky.) and Lindsay Mullican (Lancaster, Pa.) swam personal bests in the meet. Babuka finished second in the 500 Free with a time of 5:16.69. Mullican set bests in the 500 Free and 1000 Free with times of 5:21.20 and 10:57.36, respectively.
North Florida (4-2) won a tri-meet against Radford and College of Charleston over the weekend. The Ospreys defeated the Highlanders 171-69 and the Cougars 135-107 at home. UNF finished in the top-three in all but two of the 13 events and swept the top-three spots in two. Christine Kemp, Kristina Alexiou and Rebeca Bernard swept the 500 Free's top-three spots. Kemp won the event with a time of 5:16.83
