Kennesaw, Ga. - Caitlin Kitchen (Kennesaw, Ga.), Natalie Maffett (Rome, Ga.), Mimi Bollaci (Atlanta, Ga.), Sydney Brown (Johns Creek, Ga.) and Alex Langmo (Boca Raton, Fla.) each went undefeated in their singles flights this weekend, as they helped the Georgia Southern Women's Tennis Team post a winning record all three days at the Kennesaw State Invitational.
Competing in a tough, four-team field that included Kennesaw State, Augusta State and Florida A&M, the Eagles capped off the weekend by winning eleven of twelve matches on Sunday.
"I was really proud of how well we played through a lot of really tough matches," said Head Coach Amy Bonner. "This tournament was a great experience for our team against really tough competition."
Paola Garrido (Vigo, Spain) and Alexis Prickett (Charleston, S.C.) each won three singles matches in the 'A' flight and the Eagles utilized an assortment of partnerships in double play to win four of seven matches played.
The Eagles will hit the courts again on Friday, October 7-9 when they travel north for the Elon Invitational. The Georgia Southern Men's Tennis Team will also compete there, an opportunity for both teams to face conference opponents during the fall schedule.
