Eagles Face Presbyterian College on Wednesday

STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern Men's Soccer returns home following five road matches to open the season for the 2011 home opener against Presbyterian College on Wednesday, September 14th, at Eagle Field. The first home match of the season starts at 4 p.m. The Eagles are on the heels of consecutive wins over Belmont and Lipscomb last weekend.
Senior Luigi Clendening (Augusta, Ga.) paces the Georgia Southern (3-1-1) offense with four goals and four assists. The forward leads the Southern Conference in goals and points through the early days of the season.
The Blue Hose enter Wednesday's match at 0-4 on the year, allowing 11 goals while scoring just one tally in the last match against Erskine. Luke Ade scored the lone goal for PC.
Last season PC took a 1-0 victory over Georgia Southern despite the Eagles outshooting the Blue Hose 25-5 on the day. A second minute goal was the difference in the match for Presbyterian. Jon Cox led the Eagles with six shots on the goal last season while four other Eagles recorded three shots each.
