Meredyth Frye Named SoCon Player of Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Meredyth Frye (Fredricksburg, Va.) has been selected as the Southern Conference Player of the Week for all games played February 1-7.
Frye scored the game-winning basket on a buzzer beater against UNC Greensboro on February 5th. She scored 16 points in the victory. The sophomore guard helped the Lady Eagles extend their home winning streak to nine games after scoring 16 more points in the 71-69 overtime win over Elon. Frye drained the final four points in that victory.
Georgia Southern returns to action next Monday when it takes on Western Carolina in Cullowhee, N.C. at 7 p.m.
