Georgia Southern's Lanson to Compete at USA Swimming AT&T Winter Nationals

STATESBORO, Ga. - Freshman Elaina Lanson (Wadsworth, Ohio) will compete at the 2011 USA Swimming AT&T Winter Nationals on Thursday, Dec. 1 at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The Winter Nationals is a qualifying meet for the Olympic Trials and will consist of the top American swimmers, including 34 members of the 2011 FINA World Championships U.S. Team.
Other swimmers scheduled to compete include four-time Olympian Amanda Beard (Irvine, Calif.) and 2011 World Champion Missy Franklin (Centennial, Colo.). A total of 64 out of 108 U.S. National Team members will be in Atlanta, Ga. for the three-day meet.
Preliminaries will start at 9 a.m. and finals will begin at 6 p.m. Footage from the meet will air nationally on NBC on Sunday, December 4 from 2 - 3 p.m. USA Swimming will also have a live webcast available of prelims and finals for all three days.
