Hoffman did not lose a set all weekend on his way to winning the flight five singles title. Dromsky came from behind in a thrilling match against East Carolina's Patriek Wolterbeek (2-6, 7-5, 10-8) in his second match of the weekend and defeated all three opponents to win the flight six singles title.
Hoffman and Dromsky also teamed up to win the flight three doubles title, defeating Citadel opponents Armstrong and Wycoff (8-2), ECU's Martinez and Wolterbeek (8-4) and SCSU's Lee and Jereminov (8-5).
"Kyle (Hoffman) did a great job of responding well after a rough go last weekend," said Head Coach Nick Zieziula. "He played solid, aggressive tennis in both singles and doubles."
"It's important for us not to be fooled by the results this weekend," said Zieziula. "Some guys had a great weekend in terms of wins and losses, but there is still a lot of work to be done to get where we want to be. Some of the guys who struggled in terms of wins and losses showed a lot of progress in the areas of their game that we have been focusing on. We've got a few more weeks of training and we need to make the most of them."
The Eagles return to the practice courts in preparation for the spring schedule, which begins on Jan. 27 against Atlantic Sun opponent Mercer at the Hanner Tennis Complex in Statesboro.
