It has been a successful fall season for the Eagles, who have captured individual tournament titles in both singles and doubles play. The season began at the UNC Bulldog Open where Ali Beeler (Alpharetta, Ga.) won her singles flight and the Eagles tandem of Natalie Maffett (Rome, Ga.) and Alexis Prickett (Charleston, S.C.) won their doubles flight.
At the Kennesaw State Invitational, Maffett, Caitlin Kitchen (Kennesaw, Ga.), Mimi Bollaci (Atlanta, Ga.), Sydney Brown (Johns Creek, Ga.) and Alex Langmo (Boca Raton, Fla.) each went undefeated in their singles flights that weekend.
Three weeks later the Eagles captured titles in the top flight for singles and doubles at the Elon Invitational, where sophomore Paola Garrido (Vigo, Spain) won the A-1 Singles title and also teamed with Prickett to win the A-1 Doubles title. The Eagles tandem of Langmo and Brown went 3-0 on the weekend to win the B-2 Doubles title.
"We are looking forward to competing at Clemson to conclude our fall schedule," said Head Coach Amy Bonner. "The team has shown a lot of improvement since our season began and the tough competition we've faced this fall will help prepare us for the spring and Southern Conference play."
