STATESBORO, Ga. – The 2010-11 Men's Tennis season officially gets underway at the Southern Intercollegiates in Athens, Ga., September 24-27. First-year Head Coach Nick Zieziula unveiled the upcoming schedule that includes three fall tournaments as preparation for a spring lineup that consists of 11 home matches and the ever-challenging Southern Conference slate.
“I am very pleased with the way this year's schedule came together. We have some good opportunities to compete with nationally ranked opponents in the fall which will help us grow and prepare for a solid spring slate of matches,” said Zieziula.
The Southern Intercollegiates opens the new season, Sept. 24-27, before the Eagles get an early look at a Southern Conference foe in the Elon Invitational, October 8-10. The fall tournament slate concludes at the UCF Invitational, October 29-31.
A home match against Fort Valley State opens the dual match season on January 28. The Eagles then hit the road for a three-match road swing which includes Georgia State (February 5), Kennesaw State (Feb. 6) and Stetson (Feb. 12).
