Johnson, Bandits Win NPF Regular Season Crown

STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern Head Softball Coach Maggie Johnson and the Chicago Bandits won the National Pro Fastpitch League regular season title, posting a 30-20 record.
Johnson, who spent the summer working as an assistant coach for the Bandits, stopped in Statesboro on her way to Sulfer, La., to talk with Eagle Vision about the season, the championship tournament and how it relates to Georgia Southern Softball.
The NPF Championship Tournament is August 26-29 in Sulfer, La., with the Bandits entering as the top seed. Johnson will then return to Statesboro and resume her duties as head coach of the Eagles.
