Baseball Preview Show to Air Thursday

STATESBORO, GA – The Georgia Southern Radio Network will present the '2010 Georgia Southern Baseball Preview Show' on Thursday, February 11. The hour-long segment will broadcast live from Locos Grill & Pub beginning at 7 p.m. Fans are encouraged to attend the event.
Ryan Chambers, Georgia Southern's baseball play-by-play analyst, will host the show which will feature Eagle head coach Rodney Hennon and members of the coaching staff and team. Hennon will preview the upcoming season as the Eagles prepare to take the field to defend their 2009 Southern Conference Tournament title. The show will be carried live on WPMX 102.9-FM and via the internet for free at www.GeorgiaSouthernEagles.com.
The Eagles are coming off the second 40-win campaign in Hennon's 10-year Georgia Southern tenure and a 2009 Southern Conference Tournament Championship. The 2010 squad returns 17 letterwinners and adds 13 to a roster rich in depth. Highlighting the returning veterans include Kyle Blackburn, Kevin Bowles, Roman Grimaldi, Eric Phillips and A.J. Wirnsberger. Returning as part of the weekend rotation will be Jake Brown, Matt Murray, and Andy Moye.
Georgia Southern first takes the field on Friday, February 19 for a three-game weekend series against a 2009 NCAA Regional Tennessee Tech club. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. Friday night.
