SAVANNAH, Ga. - Members of the SouthernPigskin.com staff selected the SouthernPigskin.com All-SoCon Team for 2010. Georgia Southern sophomore nose tackle Brent Russell (Comer, Ga.) was named the SoCon Defensive Player of the Year and headed a list of five Eagle players recognized with honors. Junior safety Derek Heyden (Atlanta, Ga.) and junior defensive tackle Roderick Tinsley (Soperton, Ga.) were named to the All-Conference Defensive team. Junior punter Charlie Edwards (Tifton, Ga.) and junior place kicker Adrian Mora (Dalton, Ga.) earned SouthernPigskin.com All-SoCon Special Team accolades. Eagles' Head Coach Jeff Monken, who guided Georgia Southern to its first playoff appearance since 2005, was named the 2010 SouthernPigskin.com All-Southern Conference Coach of the Year.
