STATESBORO, GA – Beginning final day of the Holiday Inn Invitational, the Georgia Southern Eagle volleyball team continued its dominating season-opening play, taking Stetson in three sets, 25-18, 25-15, 25-14, for its second win of the season. “I thought we followed last night's performance with a good effort this morning,” said Eagle head coach Chad Callihan. “We maintained a level of consistency throughout the match despite the number of substitutions we made testing different line-ups. Freshman Bellissimo recorded two of her three service aces in the first set.

A quick 7-0 run early in the third and final set gave the Eagles an 11-4 advantage. Three service aces and Sanford's five kill effort allowed Georgia Southern to secure the match win with a 25-14 tilt.
