Eagles Continue Final Homestand with The Citadel and Davidson

STATESBORO, GA ? Returning to the hard courts at the Hanner Tennis Complex, the Georgia Southern men's tennis team continues its final homestand of the 2009 dual season welcoming The Citadel on Saturday, April 4 and Davidson on April 5. First serve on Saturday is slated for 11 a.m. and noon on Sunday.
SoCon Ledgers
Georgia Southern enters the weekend competition with a 5-7-1 overall record and 1-3-1 Southern Conference ledger. The Citadel is 8-8 overall and 1-3, while Davidson is 5-11 and 1-4 in league matches.
Georgia Southern Hosts
The Eagles will look to break a four-match skid on Saturday. Georgia Southern is coming off a 6-1 defeat against Elon (March 24) in Statesboro. Jayraj Jadeja was the lone victory for the Eagles claiming a 6-2 straight set victory over Philip Nemec at the two seed.
Scouting The Citadel
The Citadel Bulldogs enter Saturday's match looking to snap a two-match skid. The Bulldogs have dropped their past two matches to Wofford and most recently Furman. The Paladins blanked the Bulldogs, 7-0 on March 29. The Citadel hosts Samford on Friday before traveling to Statesboro.
Analyzing Davidson
The Wildcats are coming off a 7-0 sweep by No. 66 Elon on April 1. Davidson has dropped the past four matches, three to SoCon opponents. A 5-2 victory over Chattanooga marks the only conference win by Davidson thus far in the dual season. Davidson will face College of Charleston on Saturday before heading to Georgia Southern.
