Books for Baseball Set for Weekend Series Against Furman

STATESBORO, Ga. ? The annual ?Books for Baseball' campaign will take place this weekend as the Georgia Southern Baseball team will take on Furman. Saturday's (May 2) doubleheader is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. and also a 1:30 p.m. start on Sunday afternoon.
Fans will receive free admission to any game when they bring a new or used book as a donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Statesboro. There is no limit to the number of books per person that may be donated.
Also during Saturday's doubleheader the College of Education Alumni Advisory Committee will sponsor a gathering for Spring 2009 graduates, alumni, faculty and staff during and between the doubleheader.
The COE will have a golf cart around prior to the 1:30 first pitch where those invited can pick up a raffle ticket and spirit ribbon. Between games they will sponsor pizza, and also encourage patrons to bring a book to donate to the Boys and Girls Club.
