Men's Soccer Travels to North Florida Tuesday

STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern men's soccer team (0-14-1, 0-5-0) travels to Jacksonville, Fla. Tuesday for its final non-conference match against North Florida (4-11-1, 4-4-1).
The Eagles enter the match following a tough 2-1 loss to Furman. Danny Hall (Conyers, Ga.) tied the game at 1-1 with his fourth penalty kick goal in the 62nd minute, but a Paladin penalty kick in the 74th minute gave them a 2-1 decision.
The Ospreys split last week's conference slate, defeating Mercer 2-1 Saturday. Adam O'Neill gave them an early lead with a free kick goal in the 19th minute. North Florida went up 2-0 before the Bears broke up the shutout with a last minute goal.
Georgia Southern is led on offense by Jon Cox (Alpharetta, Ga.) and Hall. Cox paces the team in shots and shots on goal. Hall has scored a team-leading four goals and all have come off penalty kicks. They will face a defense that sports a 2.33 goals against average. Jullian Beau has played 14 games in net for the Ospreys and has recorded 47 saves.
North Florida's attack is led by Adam O'Neill. O'Neill paces the team in goals and shots. He has recorded six of the teams' 20 goals this season. Austin Steele (Kennesaw, Ga.) and the Eagles' defense will be tasked with keeping their offense in check.
The final non-conference match is set for 7 p.m. at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla.
