Women's Tennis Performs Well During Day One's Action at the Brevard Mountain Invitational

The Lady Eagles started play in the three day Brevard Mountain Invitational today and performed well.
“I was encouraged by today's performance. The seniors came through for us today and I'm excited about what is to come in the season ahead,” said Coach Bonner.
The Women's Tennis team won two of the three doubles matches and four of the five singles matches that they played today.
In A doubles Molly Maddox (Rome, Ga.) and Shea Huxtable (Winter Springs, Fla.) defeated Gardner-Webb's Laura Kriett and Rita Gouveia 8-5.
In B doubles Kristi Kegerreis (Fairfax, Va.) and Jessica Fuller (Cartersville, Ga.) played
Christine Caforio (Acworth, Ga.) and Emma Knight (Duluth, Ga.) defeated a Carson Newman team 8-1 in C doubles.
In singles Maddox defeated Amanda Bartlett, from Carson Newman, 6-0 6-2.
Keggerreis defeated Patricia Dominguez, from Pfeiffer, 6-1 2-6 10-6.
Huxtable also won her match against Carson Newman's Elizabeth Sneed, 6-2 6-4.
In the C flight of singles Jessica Fuller won her match 6-0 6-0.

The Women's Tennis team returns to action tomorrow at 9:30 am at the Brevard Invitational.
