Men?s Soccer Set to Take on Clemson

“We're very excited about the opportunity to play Clemson again this year. I think they are a fine representation of the quality soccer that you will find in the ACC. Coach Adair always has his teams exceptionally prepared, and we expect a very good challenge on Friday night. I'm hopeful that this game will continue to prepare our team and test us as we prepare for Southern Conference matches in the near future,” said Coach Kennedy.
Preseason All-SoCon member, Jon Cox, had a shot on goal in that game.
Clemson (1-1-0) lost to instate rival
Clemson is lead by Trevor Adair, who is 168-83-24 in 13 seasons at Clemson. The Tigers return 11 letterwinners and six starters from last year's team that went 7-11-1 in regular season play.
Greg Eckhardt has started both games for the Tigers and has scored two goals on the season.
Joseph Bendik has played all 180 minutes in the two games. He has recorded 10 saves on the young season.
Georgia Southern Defeated Georgia State 2-1 in the first exhibition game of the season.

The men's soccer team then came out of the locker room at halftime and took a 2-1 lead early in the second half, when senior, BJ Reine (Baton Rouge, La.) scored off an assist by freshman, Joe Madigan (Centennial, Colo.). The Eagles played good defense and did not surrender the lead.
