Buies Creek, N.C. ? The Georgia Southern Men’s Soccer team held Campbell scoreless in the first half, but gave up two second half goals and lost 2-0.
The Eagles fall to 1-2-0 on the season, while the Fighting Camels advance to 2-2-0.
Jon Cox (Alpharetta, Ga.) picked up the Eagles' lone shot on goal.
Freshman, Joe Madigan (Centennial, Colo.) played all 90 minutes for the Eagles and picked up a shot.
B.J. Reine (Baton Rouge, La.) took two shots in the game.
Joey Ralph (Evans, Ga.) played the full 90 minutes and picked up three saves.
Josue Soto scored the first goal of the game in the 53rd minute of play.
Khalil Johnson put the game away in the 73rd minute, when his shot bounced off the right post and into the net.
Campbell finished the game with 9 shots, while the Eagles only managed 5. Campbell also took five shots on goal, while the Eagles only managed one.
The Men’s Soccer team returns to Statesboro for a four game home stand, which starts Wednesday against North Florida. The match is set for 4:00 pm.
