Shehan Named SoCon 'Student-Athlete of the Week'

SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? Georgia Southern's Chris Shehan (Strasburg, PA/Lampeter-Strasburg) was named the Southern Conference 'Student-Athlete of the Week'. A standout on Georgia Southern's baseball team, Shehan has a 3.37-grade point average and is majoring in Accounting. It is Shehan's first-ever SoCon weekly academic award.

Shehan posted a batting average of .619 with 10 RBIs and 12 runs in five games last week. Shehan hit three doubles and five home runs and stole six bases. Shehan belted his first two home-run game of his career, doing so twice.
