Swimming and Diving finishes the Georgia Tech Fall Quad with a 1-3 Record

Atlanta, Ga. - The Georgia Southern swimming and diving team faced some stiff competition in the Georgia Tech Fall Quad Saturday afternoon and went 1-3 on the day.
The Lady Eagles (4-5) defeated New Orleans 139-99, but lost to Georgia Tech 185-65, Miami 183-88, and 214-65.
Georgia Southern placed 8th in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:49.17. Katelyn Woolfolk (Satellite Beach, Fla.) swam the final leg of the relay with a time of 24.59.
Ali Campbell(Alberta, Canada) finished fourth in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:36.66.
Caroline Bevillard(Bishop, Ga.) finished sixth in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:55.83.
Courtney Martz(Woodbine, Ga.) and Lindsay Goodman (Knoxville, Tenn.) finished less than a second apart for 10th and 11th place in the 100 yard backstroke. Martz touched the wall with a time of 1:00.59. Goodman followed her up with a time of 1:00.92.
Ashley White(Charlotte, N.C.) placed 10th in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.23.
Lauren Parr(Canton, Ohio) placed 5th in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:07.53.
Martz finished 9th in the 50 yard freestyle event with a time of 24.86.
Nikki Hutchison(Kennesaw, Ga.) and Katie Creighton(Snellville, Ga.) placed 8th and 9th in the one meter and three meter diving events.
Bevillard placed fifth in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 53.55.
Goodman placed ninth with a time of 2:11.13 in the 200 yard backstroke.
White led four Lady Eagles in the 200 yard backstroke. She finished 10th with a time of 2:32.11.
Campbellfinished 13th in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:18.05.
The Lady Eagles placed 8th in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a mark of 1:40.37.
Parr placed ninth in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:11.41. She also placed 10th in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 59.07.
The Lady Eagles return to action November 21st at the Davidson Invitational in Davidson, N.C.
