STATESBORO,
“We feel good about our recruiting class,” said head coach Rusty Cram. “These are four of the top players that we went after. We had to out-recruit several different schools for each one of them.”
The Lady Eagles will add Miriam “Mimi” DuBose, Kayla Dayton, Briana Scott and
“They all bring a different flavor to the team because they can play more than just one position,” stated coach Cram. “This class fits our motion offense very well. We are excited about having them here.”
Dubose is a 5'7” guard from
“Mimi is a different player than Lee. She is a more all-around player and can shoot the ball,” said coach Cram. “She understands the game and is a coach's daughter. We are excited to have Mimi come here. “
“Kayla is a point guard who can do it all. She is one of the best point guards that was recruitable for us,” stated coach Cram. “She can shoot the ball with the best of them and is a very gutsy hard nose type of player.”
Scott is a 6'2” forward from
“Briana is a swing-post player that knows how to face up and shoot the ball well. She will play right into our motion offense. We feel that she is a very steady and gutsy player,” said coach Cram.
Williams is 5'7” guard from
“Lexy Williams is an all-around guard who shoots the three exceptionally well. She is very smooth and even-keeled and we can use her at the one, two or three position,” said coach Cram. “Williams has good size, and we feel like she is going to be a great player for us.”
Coach Cram is pleased with his signees and is excited about the versatility that they bring to the program.
“I think it is a testament to the program, to the assistants and the players who chose to come here. My hat's off to Regina Days-Bryan, our recruiting coordinator. I feel like it is going to be a great class for us.”
