Women's Soccer Falls to UNC Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. ? The Georgia Southern women’s soccer team lost 5-1 to UNC Greensboro Friday night.
The Eagles fall to 4-9-3 (2-6-1) after the loss while the UNC Greensboro Spartans improved to 13-4-1 (8-0-1).
Ashley Toussaint(Warner Robins, Ga.) scored her 12th goal of the season in the 55th minute of the match. She picked up a defensive turnover and had only the goalkeeper to beat. Toussaint is now tied for seventh all-time in goals scored in a Georgia Southern season.
The Spartans scored two goals within the first 10 minutes of the match. Kelly Attayek scored the first goal of the match from eight yards out in the 4th minute. The goal was setup by Katelynn Donovan and Nicole Danford. Jen Bronson made it a 2-0 lead in the seventh minute of action.
UNC Greensboro scored once more before the end of the half to lead 3-0 at halftime. Donovan scored the first of two goals on the day in the 17th minute with a header from 10 yards out.
Jaimey Etten gave the Spartans a 4-1 lead in the 71st minute with a 25 yard blast which was setup by Nicole Danford.
Donovan scored her second goal of the match in the 80th minute to give UNC Greensboro a 5-1 lead with 10 minutes to go in the match.
Sara Oland(Evans, Ga.) had the Lady Eagles’ only other shot of the match in the 56th minute.
The Lady Eagles continue their two match road trip against Elon on Sunday (Oct. 26) at 2 p.m. in Elon, N.C.
