One of the original football players when the sport was restarted in 1981... Born October 10, 1962... Earned four letters from 1982-85... Joined the Eagles from Warner Robins High School despite suffering a knee injury during his senior season that was nearly career ending... Led Georgia Southern in 1982 with 101 tackles, and again in 1985 with 162 tackles (99 solo) from his defensive guard position... 17 tackles versus Presbyterian during sophomore season was a school record at the time... Finished career with 488 tackles despite a lack of physical stature... Considered by coaching staff as the "heart and soul" of the ‘85 championship squad.
