PGA Tour Pro and former Eagle Blake Adams is in his second season as a volunteer assistant golf for the Georgia Southern men's golf program.
Through the 2014-15 PGA Tour season, Adams has made 115 starts on the PGA Tour and finished in the top-25 in 21 events, including tying for seventh at the 2012 PGA Championship, held at the Ocean Course at Kiawah, and 21st at the 2012 U.S. Open, held at the Olympic Club, and runner-up at the HP Byron Nelson Championship. He has placed in the top-10 nine times, the top-5 twice and amassed earnings of over $3.5 million. Adams posted four top-5 finishes in 48 starts on the Web.com Tour from 2007-09.
Adams was a two-year lettermen for the Eagle men's golf team and a two-time All-Southern Conference selection. He was inducted into the Georgia Southern athletics Hall of Fame in 2012.
"Georgia Southern has always held a special place in my heart, and it is an honor and privilege to assist Coach Collins and his team," Adams says. "I am confident that my 15-plus years as a professional golfer will add value to the program. My goal is to share the valuable experiences I have learned from my successes, failures and adversity on Tour to hopefully strengthen these young men both on and off the course. I am humbled by the opportunity to give back just a portion of what this great University has given to me."
