Elena Tendero enters her third season as the volunteer assistant with Georgia Southern Women's Tennis for 2022-23. She began working with the Eagles in 2021 as Georgia Southern captured its first Sun Belt Conference tournament championship and advanced to the NCAAs for the first time.

Tendero played two season for Jacksonville State University, where she helped the team achieve its highest team ranking in program history. Before Jacksonville State, she played at Tyler Junior College in Texas, where she helped her team into the finals in 2016 and won the NJCAA National Championship in 2017. She also received ITA Scholar-Athlete honors in 2016 and 2017.

Elena graduated for JSU with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science and Wellness and is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Sports Medicine from Georgia Southern. Her aspirations are to become a collegiate Strength and Conditioning coach. She came to Georgia Southern to be a part of a strong program and help the Eagles develop both on and off the court.Â
