Michael Ellis joined the Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation in March of 2023 as the Athletic Foundation Coordinator. He was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director, Annual Fund in the summer of 2024 and to Associate AD in October of 2025. He comes to Statesboro from the University of Connecticut where he served as a graduate assistant in the Director of Athletics Office. While at UConn, he received his master’s degree in sports management.
A native of Richmond, Virginia, and a former collegiate soccer player, Ellis attended the United States Naval Academy and Virginia Tech, where he graduated in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
