SOPHOMORE (2019-20): Swam in all meets for the Eagles this season… Swam a career-best in four events this season including the 50 Freestyle (23.11), 50 Butterfly (27.61), 100 Freestyle (50.17) and 100 Butterfly (57.10)…Her 50 Free time of 23.11 is third-best in school history…Her 100 Free time of 50.17 is the school-record in that event…

FRESHMAN (2018-19): Swam in all seven meets as a freshman for the Eagles...Won first two collegiate races vs SCAD - 4x50 Medley Relay as anchor leg and 50 Freestyle with time of 24.67...Won 400 Freestyle Relay as third leg vs. UNC Asheville  with a time of 3:35.35...Won 50 Freestyle vs. Campbell in a time of 24.31...Also won 50 Freestyle vs. North Florida with improved time of 23.98...

HIGH SCHOOL: Swam for four years at Walton HS ... Earned All-County and All-State honors all four years for the Raiders ... Also earned All-American honors in 2016 ... Part of the school-record 200 Free and 400 Free Relay teams ... Helped Walton HS earn the State Championship in 2016 ... Swam club for Swim Atlanta.

PERSONAL: Born Melissa Erin Cox on July 18, 2000, in Marietta, Ga., her hometown ... Daughter of Jimmy and Kim Cox ... Has three siblings; Lewis, David and William.
