Sports Responsible For: Softball, Volleyball and Women's Tennis

Prior to Georgia Southern: Velasquez was the graduate assistant at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, working with football and men's and women's track & field student-athletes on a daily basis. She also helped with the tutoring program, supervised the class checking program, assisted in all student-athlete development programs, ran women's empowerment workshop and assisted with advising the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Velasquez has been a member of N4A since 2017. 
 
Originally from the Columbus, Ohio, area, Velasquez received her B.S. in sport management with a minor in business at Bowling Green State University. She earned her Masters in health and human performance within the sport administration.

While at BGSU, she was a track & field student-athlete throwing weight throw, hammer and discus. She was the Mid-American Conference runner-up in 2017 at the championship meet. She also earned a bid to the NCAA East Regional her senior year and her mark of 191'9 in the hammer is now third all-time in BGSU history.
