Jeff Marx serves as a assistant strength & conditioning coach for the Georgia Southern football program, a position he began in 2025 after serving as a graduate assistant.
Marx came to Statesboro after a successful playing career at Slippery Rock where he earned All-American honors as a senior defensive lineman. He left the program ranked 22nd in career tackles for loss and 25th in career sacks and earned First-Team All-PSAC West honors three times. His senior season, he tallied 49 tackles, including 13 for loss and 8.5 sacks, along with two forced fumbles and an interception.
He was a strength and conditioning intern at Pittsburgh in 2021 and has been a member of the USA Powerlifting Association since 2016. Marx is certified through CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) and is certified in first aid/cpr/aed through American Red Cross.
The Youngstown, Ohio, native graduated in 2022 with a degree in business management and a minor in leadership.
