HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Venice High for Coach John Peacock … Voted the Class 7A Player of the Year, according to balloting by a statewide panel of coaches and prep media representatives … A finalist for Mr. Football in Florida … The All-Area Offensive Player of the Year as selected by the Sarasota Herald-Tribune … Also a first-team all-area selection at running back … Set a new area single-season rushing record with 2,742 yards, shattering the mark of 2,016 set by Sarasota High’s Mike Ford in 2004 … Scored 37 rushing TDs, including five in the regular-season game against Braden River … Had 12 100-yard games, including 342 against Braden River … Also caught seven passes for 112 yards, including a 66-yarder against North Port.
