Georgia Southern's first CoSIDA First Team Academic All-American honoree in program history ... Was named the 2017 Preseason Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year and started 15 contests for the Eagles as a junior ... Earned second-team Sun Belt Conference honors as a defender ... Named the Sun Belt's Defender of the Week on Nov. 7 for scoring a goal in the Eagles' 2-0 road win at Appalachian State and helping the Eagles record the clean sheet ... Played all 90 minutes in nine of his 15 starts for the Eagles, and Georgia Southern was 6-3 in those matches ... Took a season-high four shots, with three on goal, in Georgia Southern's 2-1 win over Stetson on Oct. 24 ... In addition to his Academic All-America honor from CoSIDA, was also a first-team CoSIDA Academic All-District 4 selection and a USC (formerly NSCAA) Scholar All-South Region second team honoree ... Named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year as well as an All-Sun Belt Conference First-Team selection ... Earned NSCAA All-Southeast Region Second-Team honors ... Named to the 2016 NSCAA Scholar All-South Region First Team … Named to 2016 Sun Belt Championship All-Tournament Team … Named to the 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-District 4 First-Team with a 4.00 GPA … Twice named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week (Sept. 20, Oct. 25) … Started 14 games on the back row for the Eagles, anchoring a young Eagles defense that featured three freshmen as well as Laursen as a sophomore … Took 11 shots on the year, five on frame … Scored a team-best three game-winning goals … His three game-winners is good enough to be tied for second in the conference … Finished the year tied for third on the team with six points ... Played every minute in 11 games … In games where he played every minute, the Eagles went 5-3-3 (.591) ... Played a season-high 110 minutes against James Madison (Sept. 9), Coastal Carolina (Oct. 15) and Presbyterian (Oct. 18) … Made a spectacular, sliding save in the closing minutes of the first half of the Sun Belt Championship semifinal game against Georgia State (Nov. 11) to preserve a 0-0 tied heading into halftime … Of his 11 shots, two have been penalty kicks with him converting one against Stetson (Sept. 2) ... The PK at Stetson proved to be his first collegiate game-winner  … Also scored the game-winning goal against Georgia State (Oct. 8) off a corner kick and another against Hartwick (Oct. 22), also off a corner.

FRESHMAN (2015)
Named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week on Sept. 22 … Started all 14 games he appeared in on the back line for the Eagles … Scored 1 against Jacksonville (Oct. 13) … As a freshman, helped the defense record 5 shutouts on the season … Played every minute in 11 games including two overtime contests.

HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Marselisborg Gymnasium in Aarhus, Denmark, but played his football with AGF Aarhus and Skovbakken IK ... Selected to practice with the First Team at AGF Aarhus ... Named Mr. AGF for living up to the core values of the club (passion, engagement, responsibility, and respect) ... Made 21 appearances with the U19 squad at AGF in 2013-14 and four with the first team reserves squad.
